Northern Lakes Lightning Boys Hockey is heading to State!
Congratulations to the Northern Lakes Lightning for punching their ticket to the Class A State Boys Hockey Tournament with their win over the Alexandria Cardinals in the Section 6A Final! They are the second team in the history of Northern Lakes to make it to the state tournament (last done in 2021).
Northern Lakes received the #5 seed in Class A and will take on the #4 seed, East Grand Forks, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 8 pm at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, MN. The game will be televised on Channel 45!!

Fan Bus
Pequot Lakes High School is offering a Fan Bus to the game! Adults and students in 7th grade and above can sign up to ride the bus. Students in 6th grade or below must be accompanied by an adult. The cost to ride the fan bus is $40. The bus will leave at 4:30 pm and return roughly at 1:00 am.

You can also stop in the high school office to sign up. The bus must be sold out by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4th, or the bus will be canceled.
State Send-Off
There will be a State Send-Off through Pequot Lakes on Tuesday, March 4th, at 8:55 AM. Please consider lining the streets of Pequot Lakes and cheer on the Northern Lakes Lightning as they leave town on their way to the STATE Tournament!

FOOTBALL/TRACK SCOREBOARD SPONSORSHIP INFORMATIONPequot Lakes High School has a football/track scoreboard with FIVE sponsorship panels to advertise on!- There are 3 sponsorship panels on the scoreboard available for businesses and organizations that are interested in purchasing one.
- The panels are backlit and measure 2' x 6'.
- The advertising panels are available for $5000.00 each.
- The sponsorship would be valid for five years.
The advertising panels will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis and will only be considered as reserved when the District receives funds and has completed paperwork on file from the sponsor.
